Demi Lovato: she's over mean girls
via spiediefest.com
CGG recently told you about Michael Phelps and a slew of other stars who have opened up since their fame about being bullied in school.
Well now, "Camp Rock" Disney darling Demi Lovato also had her own say on the Ellen DeGeneres Show about the mean girls in her own school.
Apparently Demi was taunted so brutally in 7th grade, that she was forced to go into home-schooling because of it.
"I never really understand why [I was being bullied] until looking back," she told Ellen, suspecting the bullying might have been triggered by her successful child star status. "I had a different lifestyle than everyone else."
Now, Demi says she wants to channel the fame that was once perceived as something so negative, into something positive to help become a role model for young girls today.
"I want to help with bullying because there are girls who can't just up and home-school and focus on their career," Demi said.
Do YOU have any bullying experiences of your own? How'd you overcome all of it?? Let us know after the jump!

way to go Demi! I was bullied in 2nd grade and I said a lot of mean things in response. It just escalated when it probably would have been better to have just been the bigger person. Ya know?
