Donation with a vengeance?
via popseries.com
The Yankees' highest-paid player, Alex Rodriguez, is back in the hot seat. What has A-Rod done this time? The slugger has reportedly donated a half a million dollars to charity. Make that Madonna's charity, Raising Malawi.
Madge created Raising Malawi in 2006 with co-founder Michael Berg to help orphans in Africa gain access to food, education, and medical care.
Despite their frequent public togetherness, A-Rod and Madonna have denied rumors of a romance. Of course, news of the donation have set tongues wagging again -- and no doubt his soon-to-be-ex-wife, Cynthia Rodriguez,is seeing red. Some even say he gave away all that dough just to tick off his Mrs.
Here's CGG's two cents: Give A-Rod a break. The guy is no stranger to giving back and keeping it on the (semi) down-low. A South Florida native, he donated $3.9 million to the University of Miami to renovate their ballpark, Mark Light Stadium, which was renamed Alex Rodriguez Park.
Now it's YOUR turn: What do you think? Does Rodriguez deserve an A for his philanthopic effort (afterall, it's his money to give away as he sees fit)? Or might the guy have chosen a different charity? You tell us!

A-Rod's got more than enough money to go around. If he really donated the money to Madonna's charity to get back at his wife, then more guys should be like A-Rod and us girlz can sit back and feel good knowing that they money is going to make the world a better place.
