Ellen brought Republican frontrunner John McCain on her show and confronted the elephant in the room: gay marriage.

McCain was uncomfortable, shifting in his seat, as Ellen compared the lack of universal marriage to the lack of universal suffrage, which was on the scheme of things, only recently granted.

He told her that she spoke eloquently, but that he had to agree to disagree. Really John? That's all you can throw back at her? The year is 2008. We're going to need a better reason that that. Californians did.
