On MLK Service Day, singer Estelle was joined by photographer to the stars, Nigel Barker in Washington DC to celebrate the influence and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. by participating in a special pep rally.
The celebs jumped in on The Unite for Girls Tour on January 15 at the Boys and Girls Club. The event was part of the United Nations Foundation's Girl Up campaign, which encourages American girls to help raise awareness and funds to aid adolescent girls in developing nations. Elsewhere in the world, these 600 million girls lack proper access to education, healthcare, and more.
Barker shared, "As the father of a young daughter and son, I can attest to the undeniable power and spirit of today's youth."
Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day... do you have the day off from school? Take some time to do something! Prepare an action plan and join the Girl Up movement to help bring education to more girls worldwide.
