Eva Longoria was preparing for Father’s Day way ahead of time this year. Last Thursday she made a surprise appearance at a Wendy’s in Selma, Texas to kick off their third annual "Father’s Day Frosty Weekend." This Desperate Housewife knows how to serve up treats for charity!

Her appearance brought joy to a group of foster children and gave the rest of us a friendly reminder that Father’s Day is just around the corner (thanks Eva!) The event runs from June 20th to the 21st and benefits the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. This upcoming weekend, 50 cents from every Frosty sold will go to the Foundation.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption helps about 130,000 children in the nation's foster care system, which 10 percent of whom are from Eva’s home in Texas. "I want to be sure that people are aware it's not kids in Africa, it's kids everywhere, but specifically in our own communities..” she says.

If you hadn’t planned anything yet for Daddy’s Day this could be a good way to give back with your big man!
