Miley's Sweet 16 is sa-weet for youth

Who needs to make a grand entrance on an elephant for your Sweet Sixteen birthday party when you can have all of the Magical Kingdom to yourself?!

That’s what Miley Cyrus was surely saying when her father Billy Ray rented out Disneyland entirely for his precious little princess—even though she doesn’t officially turn 16 till Nov. 23. Nonetheless, Miley celebrated her big birthday bash with 5,000 fans at “the happiest place on earth,” where she also reserved Special Party Zones complete with Miley and Hannah Montana-themed activities and entertainment.

The extravanganza also featured a special concert by Miley for her fans, complete with a one-of-a-kind fireworks display. After the performance, Miley roamed the park with celeb friends like Tyra Banks, Demi Lovato, David Archuleta, Steve Carell, Cindy Crawford, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Heather Locklear.

But Miley’s birthday bonanza wasn’t only all about her. That night, she also served to drive awareness for the need of youth activism, and even honored young people that night who made a difference in their community. But the icing on the cake was truly Disney’s $1 million donation to a youth charity.

Miley revealed that this was the best part of her party. “That’s so awesome because I think it’s really important for kids like us to volunteer.”

Controversy? What controversy?

As far as Zootopia's teens and tweens were concerned, Miley Cyrus could do no wrong. As the mega-concert's final act, the star also known as Hannah Montana worked the stage like nobody's business . . . and nobody else on the bill! Dressed all in white, Disney's golden girl sparked some major energy (along with firecrackers and more confetti than we've ever seen at a concert) as she jumped, gyrated, and twirled across the stage.

And she isn't just GOOD in concert; she's good in the Celebs Gone Good sense of the word. Miley has been a supporter of Save the Children (a leading org created to change the lives of children in need around the world) for the past two years. One of her favorite things to do on behalf of Save the Children is visit the org's programs in Kentucky to promote school literacy.

It's no secret that talent runs in the Cyrus family; from country singer father Billy Ray to Hannah Montana Miley, music is in their blood. At Zootopia's ZVillage pre-show, Miley's bro Trace proved he loves the spotlight too, while rocking out on vocals and guitar with his Hollywood band, Metro Station.

Supportive sis Miley checked out the scene from the side of the stage, appropriately attired in a skull-print sundress, hours before her performance as Zootopia's headliner.

Miley rocks Bryant Park

Miley Cyrus did a free performance live from Bryant Park in NYC on the Good Morning America stage in the wee small hours of the morning on Friday. Over 2,000 people showed up for the event and for the opportunity to rock with Miley without spending big bucks.

Dedicated fans of all ages camped out the night before to see their favorite Disney star Hannah Montana. A sea of young girls dressed in pink filled Bryant Park along with a few teary eyed fans, screaming admirers, and angry parents who didn't realize the turn out Miley would have would shut them out.

Oh Miley, whether it was for Good Morning America or not, your fans love you!

The Miley Cyrus photo scandal in Vanity Fair was the news story of the summer (we totally took Miley's side, by the way), and on Tuesday her dad, country star Billy Ray, spoke up about it on the Today show. "I was surprised when I saw it," he said, "But hey, that's life. Stuff happens." Though Billy was at the shoot to take a photo with Miley that some criticized as inappropriate for father and daughter, he left before Miley's solo semi-topless picture was taken, claiming that he had to go to perform a show in Washington for troops just returning home from Iraq.

Miley Cyrus is back on the stage performing, less than a week following Vanity Fair's controversial photo shoot scandal. "I saw a sign back there that said, 'Miley, I'm praying for you.' I could not be more appreciative," Hannah told her fans at the Disney Channel Games. "Thank you guys for all your support. Without you, none of this would be possible. I love every one of you and I could not be more appreciative. God bless you." She performed "See You Again," "Fly on the Wall" and Breakout."

Miley sings for fallen sk8ter boi

“Miley might live in Hollywood, but in her heart, she’ll always be our Tennessee girl.”

That's what country music star Jeffrey Steele said of the Disney golden girl -- who is likely to be a billionaire come her 18th birthday -- after Miley jumped on stage in a surprise salute to Steele's son, a 13 year-old local skateboarder from Franklin, Tenn., who died last year after an ATV accident.

The second-annual festival, which Steele started last year, was a benefit for The Alex LeVasseur Memorial Fund at The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. All proceeds for the night supported the Memorial Fund’s scholarship fund, which focuses on inspiring and encouraging students to succeed academically and behaviorally through skateboarding, while remembering the life of Alex, who was an avid skateboarder.

According to People Mag, Miley asked Steele if they could perform "Simple Song", a tune written by Steele and originally recorded by Miley herself -- and coincidentally was the only song found on Alex’s iPod after he passed away

In addition, Steele and Miley also played a favorite of Miley’s, Steele's "Hollywood Girl".

Miley Cyrus has a secret arsenal of weapons to deal with being a 15-year-old under pressure, including going to Disney World, her fans, and prayer. But what else does she have up her sleeve? “My guitar is like my best friend,” Miley told Entertainmentwise.com. “My guitar can get me through anything. If I can sit down and write an amazing song with my guitar about what’s going on in my life, then that’s the greatest therapy for me.”

CGG reported that most Do Something teens are in support of Miley Cyrus' recent controversial Vanity Fair photo shoot. And TV's Extra reveals that they're not the only ones. That's right, the feminist (!?!) ladies of the Hills have got Miley's back!

"I thought she looked beautiful in the pictures," said Lauren Contrad. And Heidi Montag finally agreed with Lauren: "[She's] a young girl in Hollywood, and she's just having fun."

Other favs on the list are her making music on her gorgeous Gibson guitar, her Chuck Taylors, and her sidekick. Last but not least, she loves grilled cheese! Miley eats grilled cheese every, single day! At today's TRL, she even gave a signed grilled cheese maker to a fan!

When asked by a fan how she feels about a tattoo, the starlet said that brother Trace has a ton of tattoos, but she wants him to get one more--the number 16, for her birthday!

Lastly, the fantastic 15-year old opens up about her Vanity Fair controversy. “I want to be a positive role model, so we try to keep that stuff as much not talked about as possible."

Is she at all overwhelmed? The bubbling beauty stated, “I love to work and I like to be pushed.” Geez. Watch out, this girl is unstoppable.
