Ginnifer Goodwin--our activist actress--is heading to Vermont to stick up for her furry friends! At the end of next month she and other big stars will attend the “Taking Action for Animals Conference”—the largest national conference for the animal protection movement.

The event will bring in some serious celebrity advocates and political powers to take action with the Humane Society. Guests will enjoy training workshops, cooking demonstrations (Ginny is a vegan!), and rally to stop puppy mills all while listening to the musical styling of the eco-friendly singer Nellie McKay.

This year’s theme is a nod to our fearless leader Obama: “The Art of the Possible: Change Animals Can Believe in.” What kind of change you might ask? An end to unethical treatment of animals means no more puppy mills, factory farms, animal testing, animal abuse and much more.

If you want to get Good with Goodwin you need to put down that cheeseburger and pick up a rally sign! There is so much you can do for the animal welfare cause like taking your issue to congress, adopting a rescue pet, or volunteering at a shelter. What do you think about Ginny’s efforts?
