Clothes off Their Back is spearheading yet another great celebrity auction but this time its not famous threads they are selling. Habitat for Humanity has teamed up with Clothes off Their Back to sell some hardhats signed by awesome CGG stars like the Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake, Linkin Park, Katy Perry, Zac Efron, and Miley Cyrus.

The auction has begun so start bidding because it ends March 6th! 100 percent of the proceeds will go towards building affordable houses in the Greater Los Angeles area.

In 2007 Habitat for Humanity kicked off its “Building a Greater Los Angeles” campaign to build and renovate 250 homes in the area. In conjunction with the “Building a Greater Los Angeles” Gala held last fall, Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity held a successful online auction with VIP experiences and signed memorabilia donated by celebrity supporters, which raised over $75,000.

Linkin Park is not just signing the hats—they are actually building the homes. Their organization, “Music for Relief” has an ongoing partnership with Habitat for Humanity and will take part in the entire process from the auction to handing over keys to new homeowners.

Dave “Phoenix” Farrell of the band says: “We hope this hardhat auction will raise awareness for Habitat’s mission and help raise funds for families in need.”

L.A. ranks very low in housing affordability and there is practically no low income housing in most areas. In these tough economic times, there are very few housing options for low income families. With the money raised from the auction, Habitat will build safe, decent homes in good areas.
