And just when you thought Hilary Duff had done it all, she’s taking on the sports scene. She will kick off a NASCAR race nationwide series “Meijer 300 Presented by Ritz.” When Hil drops the flag for the Kentucky Speedway race to begin, she will also be kicking off a new Blessings in a Backpack program.

Blessings in a Backpack program distributes backpacks filled with enough food for the weekend to “at-risk” kids. Hil will join 24 students from Gallatin County Schools to participate in the activities at Speedway including a pit-road bike relay race. At the event, people can donate old and new backpacks to the program.
