Summer is almost here people! And what better way to start it off than with some CGG favs performing at the 10th Zootopia: “Z100’s Zootopia 09” on Saturday May 16th. Headliners include Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, All American Rejects, Ciara, Soulja Boy, Jesse McCartney, and Flo Rida.
City Harvest is the official charity of Zootopia of 2009—a role Do Something got to play last year. This year, $1 of every ticket sold will go to City Harvest, the non-profit food rescue organization that feeds over 260,000 hungry New Yorkers every week! And what better way to give back than with a diverse lineup of pop, rock, rap and R&B artists?
Jay-Z recently gave Zootopia some love after a concert last Thursday at the University of Arizona. Jay-Z played a show with Kelly Clarkson and Third Eye Blind—which he called “the oddest pairing ever.” He said that he would like to see more diverse shows and mentioned New York’s Zootopia as a good example. “There is no such thing as black music or white music only good or bad music.” We here ya Jay!
Tell us what you think of the lineup, the charity, and whether this year's Zootopia can top last year's. If you want to learn more about how you can help out City Harvest and the hunger cause—play with your food on “Food Force” or read about CGG's food fight with Jimmy Fallon. Comment below!
