Jen Aniston and friends stamp out violence!

Thursday night was girls night in Hollywood when Jenifer Aniston hit the town with friends Sheryl Crow and Courteney Cox Arquette to support OmniPeace’s human rights effort in the Congo called "Stamp Out Violence Against Women and Girls of the Congo."

To the inevitable paparazzi question “what are you wearing!?” the girls responded they weren’t sporting any labels. Gasp! In fact, they were dressed in T-shirts supporting the cause created by the Art of Humanity Foundation and OmniPeace.

But these aren’t just any T-shirts. They are $78 (yikes!) and OmniPeace will donate 25% of the profits to UNICEF and the V-Day Foundation. The money will go towards building the “City of Joy,” a rehabilitation center and safe community for Congolese women and girls.

You may be thinking—come on girls, why this cause? Isn’t the war in the DRC over? Yes, but women and girls remain targets for gender-based violence including sexual slavery, kidnapping, forced recruitment, forced prostitution, and rape. Educate yourself and others and get involved in helping to empower women in the DRC.

Tell us what you think of this girl power movement! Do these women have what it takes to empower women overseas? Is Jen Aniston a better good-doer than Angelina Jolie? Are these T-shirts too expensive? Tell us what you think—comment below!
