Jenny McCarthy has already launched her very own organization and written two best-selling books for the autism cause but she's back with more. In her latest project, a book entitled, Healing and Preventing Autism: A Complete Guide she is now advocating for a controversial idea—that autism can be “cured.”

The American Academy of Pediatrics may not agree, but that's not keeping Jenny back. She says that the treatment may not work for all children, but then “why would we stop the ones that can because it didn't work for another family?"

The comic couple Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carey have been raising autism awareness through their own unique organization, Generation Rescue. They have both changed their lives significantly for Jenny's child Evan who was diagnosed with autism but seems to no longer suffer the symptoms.

The new book advocates that neurological disorders ("NDs") like ADD/ADHD, Asperger's, PDD-NOS, and Autism are environmental illnesses. This is a rather controversial speculation—that these disorders are caused by an overload of heavy metals, live viruses, and bacteria. She believes that "biomedical intervention" is the only proper treatment and is leading to recovery for thousands. This means checking to make sure a child's immune system is strong enough for vaccinations before they are given any as well as removing wheat and dairy from a child's diet.
