Jessica Alba’s do-gooding tour

via Twitter

Several weeks ago, CGG brought you the news of Jessica Alba’s return from a trip to South Africa with 1Goal and her subsequent blog about the experience. This week, she stopped by Capitol Hill to speak on behalf of the organization, in addition to meeting with Congresswoman Nita Lowey to announce the Education for All Act, an initiative to ensure that all children can go to school.

She then made her way to Manhattan yesterday for her role as a judge in this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, and panelist on the screening team at the premiere of an eco-documentary titled Climate of Change. The film covers the impact that individuals can make on the state of our environment today, and serves as a reminder of the responsibility we each have to take initiative in making a difference in our community.

During her recent travels, Jessica has taken to Twitter to raise awareness about the causes important to her, calling it “an imaginative way to reach both other supporters and those in higher power.”

Talk about a packed schedule! Between her job as a mom, U.S. Co-Chair of 1Goal, Tribeca judge and panelist, and active Tweeter, Jessica somehow balances her family life, work, and volunteerism—and she makes it seem effortless! Do your part and take action around one of the many causes that are in dire need of support today, including access to education, the fight against poverty, and the move to save the environment.
