Jessica Alba has returned… from her trip to Africa! The celebeauty joined Bono and the ONE Campaign in Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, and Senegal on a listening and learning trip and the 1GOAL: Education for All campaign. Other celebs who have shown their support for 1GOAL include Kelly Rowland, Kevin Spacey, Mia Hamm, Hillary Clinton, and a host of athletes all around the world. As U.S. Co-chair of 1GOAL, Alba recently blogged about her experience.

“My goal in going on this trip was to listen closely and learn more about the fight against global poverty. And what I heard repeatedly was that as I’ve always believed, education has the power to lift individuals, communities and entire nations out of poverty. From a promising business idea to a woman pushing cultural boundaries to stand up and speak out, education has been the key.”

72 million children around the globe today do not have the chance to go to school. The 1GOAL campaign is channeling the power of football and the 2010 FIFA World Cup to work towards securing lasting education for these deserving, young minds, and making education a triumph over poverty. Find out how you can join in on the mission to make having an education a reality for children worldwide.
