Jessica Alba: leather bondage voting star

The latest Jessica Alba ads don’t feature her beautified self donning mascara for L’Oreal, but a tear-stained Jessica bound and gagged in patent leather tape. (Man, think about how painful it must've been when they ripped all that tape off!) And get this… it’s all for an ad aimed towards you: youth voters.

No stranger to black leather, the former Dark Angel is the latest big name to star in a Declare Yourself PSA, which aims for young people to get excited about starring in a role of their own this November: as a voter in the 2008 Presidential election.

“Only you can silence yourself,” her ad reads. “Make them hear you. Register to vote now.”

"I think it is important for young people to be aware of the need we have in this country to get them more active politically,” Jessica said according to People. “People respond to things that are shocking.”

She continues, “If you don't register and vote and make a difference, and hopefully change the bad things that are happening in our country, you are essentially just binding and muzzling yourself.”

Past stars who have also participated in the provocative campaign ads include Christian Aguilera, actor Jonathon Bennet, and Outkast’s Andre 3000.
