J.Lo is a triple-threat

Singing sensation, movie-star and new mom, Jennifer Lopez, can now also call herself a triathlete, after completing Nautica’s 22nd Annual Malibu Triathlon on Sunday. Lopez finished the half-mile swim, 18-mile bike, and four-mile run to raise money for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. J.Lo was happy to finish, saying “I feel really great and so glad I finished and that I made it out of the water,” but added there was something even better than her personal accomplishment, “More amazing than that I feel really great that we raised $127,000 for the Children’s Hospital.” The entire event raised $950,000 for Children’s Hospital LA.
Lopez’s toughest event, swimming, came first. “Swimming is a killer,” she said, “I’m not going to lie.” She snagged a kiss from husband, Marc Anthony, in between the biking and running portions before finishing in 2 hours, 23 minutes and 38.8 seconds. Lopez was inspired to do a triathlon when she was pregnant with her now-six month old twins, Max and Emme, and “beached like a whale.” “I was watching TV,” she recalls, “and I saw a triathlon and I said ‘You know what? I think I could do that, that would be great for me to do.”
Lopez met up with her friend and Wedding Planner co-star, Matthew McConaughey, at the end of the race. After finishing in 1 hour, 30 minutes and 44.7 seconds, McConaughey was met by girlfriend Camila Alves and their new son, Levi. Other celebs that completed the race include desperate housewife, Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, and tennis star, Anna Kournikova.
