Our favorite pirate started the month off with some good karma! Johnny Depp made a special trip to visit children in a hospital in London on Wednesday July 1st and get this—he dressed up as his “Pirates of the Caribbean” role Captain Jack Sparrow!

After his “Public Enemies” premiere in London the actor went to surprise the kids in the pediatric wing of Great Ormond Street Hospital. He spoke to the kids and let them take photos with him. What a nice thing to do? It was especially nice considering the children at this hospital have some of the most complex, life-threatening and life-limiting conditions.

Johnny is a regular performer at the Great Ormond Street Hospital and the place is close to his heart. His 10-year-old daughter stayed there in 2007 to recover from kidney failure and Johnny donated a hefty $1.5 million to thank them for their efforts. Since then he has been back to benefit the sick kiddies time and time again and has even brought Pirate colleague Orlando Bloom.
