Jolie-Pitt cycles change lives

In true do-gooder style, the Jolie-Pitt family welcomed an opportunity to help others when, in 2006, they donated the $4 million from selling daughter Shiloh’s baby photos to children in Africa.

About $10,000 of that money went toward purchasing bicycles (72 to be exact) for children living in northern Namibia. Now, three years later, the effects of the family’s donation are being documented in this week’s issue of Life & Style, and you won't believe how life changing these cycles have been!

As one of the 589 students attending the Okanimekwa school in Namibia shared with the magazine about Jolie, "She's a very special person, and we'll never forget her.”

Another student, 17-year-old Andreas Kristofelius, noted “She must be a holy person…I think Angelina Jolie must be a saint."

The two-wheelers have enabled the children to make their trips to and from school at significantly faster rates, which allows for them to spend more time and energy focused on their educations.

While you might not have $4 million to donate to children in Africa, you can still make a difference in the lives of students in Africa as well as in your own hometown!
