Nick, Kevin, and Joe Jonas want YOU to be the change we need to see in America.
"Cool!' you say. "Where do I start?"
Thanks to the JoBros' new partnership with Do Something, the guys were able to tell last night's audience at the Kids Inaugural Ball at D.C.'s Verizon Center (and many, many more watching watching at home) that getting involved is as easy as one-two-three:
1. Take out your cell phone.
2. Text "Jonas" to 30644
3. Enter your zip code.
Next thing you know, you'll get a special "thank you" from the band of brothers, along with twice-monthly updates featuring volunteer opportunities in your area.
More than 4,600 fans signed up to participate in the Do Something Now! program, which was a great way for Jonas to get young people to participate in the National Day of Service, which coincided with Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Michelle Obama's call to all Americans to, in the words of President John F. Kennedy, "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."
In addition to addressing the young crowd, our new First Lady rocked out in the front row with First Daughters Malia and Sasha.
Also entertaining the Do Something Generation were Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Bow Wow.
FYI: After the Kids Ball, Nick, Joe, and Kevin stopped by the Huffington Post party at the Newseum, where Sheryl Crow took the stage and played her hit, the aptly-titled "A Change Will Do You Good." Will.i.am played "Where is the love?" And Sting jammed out with "Every Breath You Take."
