25 homeless Chihuahuas jet-set their way to new homes, all thanks to Katherine Heigl. Kinder Rescue of Los Angeles had trouble placing the dogs, so Katherine’s Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, an animal org named for her late brother, paid $25,000 for the animals to be flown to New Hampshire. There, the Human Society for Greater Nashua of New Hampshire (HSGN) had a long list of families wanting to adopt the tiny pups. All the dogs have celeb-themed names, like Stallone and J.Lo – so cute! Says Karen Bill, head of HSGN: “people see these dogs and think they're cute accessories, but they're not. They're living beings that need attention."
