Kim Raver, star of NBC's Lipstick jungle, has just become the spokeswoman for UNICEF's "drink one give 10", which provides safe drinking water to children in Africa. She explained on the fourth hour of Today with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb this morning that she was inspired to take action by a billboard she saw that stated "every liter of Volvic you drink will provide 10 liters of drinking water to children in Ethopia". Hoda and Kathie have pledged to also get involved.
"I am honored by this new role and look forward to supporting the 'Drink 1, Give 10' campaign which will help UNICEF provide clean water to children in Ethiopia," Raver said. "For me, access to safe drinking water is not just a right - it is a necessity and we should all support UNICEF's mission to raise awareness for the staggering number of children who are deprived of this basic need and help save lives."
