Apparently this diva cannot get enough of the good deeds! While shopping on Melrose Avenue in LA last week, Leona Lewis saw a cute little bunny rabbit being kept on a lead by a homeless man and decided to take it home after the man threatened to eat it.

Leona’s new white rabbit runs free around her garden! She named her furry friend Melrose after the street she discovered it on. And she didn’t leave the homeless man empty handed either—she gave him $100 to buy other food.

It is no surprise that the songstress would go to such extreme measures for a homeless animal—she is a vegetarian and an avid animal rights supporter. And this girl practices what she preaches! Last year she turned down a £1 million offer from Harrods to open its summer sale because the store sold fur. Her “Bleeding Love” for animals is real!

You can save a little critter in need too! It may not be as dramatic of a gesture, but you can go by your local animal shelter and adopt a homeless pet. There are 4-6 million homeless pets in the United States. Many of them will be euthanized (killed) if no one takes them home. So be heroic like Leona!
