Lil Wayne will never forget where he comes from. In fact, the New Orleans rapper is so proud, he's donated $200,000 to help rebuild the neighborhood park he played in when he was Littler Wayne.
This super CGG handed his hard-earned cash over to the officials of Harrell Park, which was destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. During the aftermath, the playground was utilized as a trailer site for the local water board, which left the park's track and field severely damaged.
The money was generously donated through Wayne's One Family Foundation, which empowers urban kids by urging them to become productive and self-sufficient citizens.
"You can't really tell them (kids) what to do these days," Lil Wayne told Louisiana's WWLTV. "When you tell them what to do, that's when they get angry; when you tell them [to] be like me, it's hard to be like me. So the best thing you can tell them is to try to do right."
Major props to Wayne. True, few kids will grow up to be great rappers like Wayne; but "doing right" -- indeed, doing something is definitely a step in the right direction.

Whoa! This is what I'm talking about -- a star like Wayne giving major cash to make a difference. I love this guy and now I love him even more. What a hero! Yeah!
