Ludacris pitches in to build a playground

The one and only Ludacris is not afraid to get his hands dirty to do some good and to live well! Earlier this week, the multi-platinum selling rapper joined nonprofit organization KaBOOM! for a day of service at Venetian Hills Elementary School in Atlanta, Georgia.

An Atlanta native himself, Luda joined hundreds of volunteers from UnitedHealthcare as part of a larger team effort with the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF)’s “iParticipate” and UnitedHealthcare’s “Do Good. Live Well.” campaigns to promote mental and physical well-being. The EIF’s “iParticipate” initiative is a movement to mobilize volunteers in America to encourage others to join in on making a positive impact in the community.

A dedicated celeb-gone-good, he also founded his own organization called The Ludacris Foundation, whose mission is to inspire youth through education and promote economic development. Check out the video to see how Luda’s commitment to do some good made an impact on an elementary school that lacked a playground for the past 15 years!
