Supermodel –turned- actress Molly Sims is just as beautiful off-camera as she is on. She immediately took action, once discovering the terrible condition of the “Casa Hogar Sion Orphanage” in Tijuana. It is here, where children, who have been abandoned or abused or neglected, have found a home, a place where they are safe and cared for, nourished and loved.
Sims first became aware of the orphanage, through her acting coach, who along with her husband who are “Friends of El Faro,” meaning every four to five weeks they to spend the weekend with the more then 100 children of “Casa Hogar Sion” orphanage. They filled her in on some pretty horrific information, for instance, that babies had been sitting in their urine for three or four days because the orphanage’s nursery girl had quit. Her response? “How much do you need? Take a check now.”
Sims not only invests her money, but her time as well. She is now a “Friend of El Faro” for life. No matter her schedule, she makes sure she visits El Faro Orphanage once a month where she helps bathe and feed the children. She stated, “It's such an unbelievable orphanage. We started with 30 or 40 kids. We're up to 104. We're trying to grow."
Gorgeous and giving, way to go Molly!
