As we told earlier this week, the fires in the state of Victoria, Australia have caused unimaginable destruction and death.

Well this dazzler from down under has stepped up to the plate to aid in the recovery efforts. Oscar-winning actress, Nicole Kidman, and her country-singer hubby, Keith Urban, donated about $300,000 to the bushfire appeal.

The caring pair made an appearance via satellite during a live telethon in Australia, hosted by the Red Cross.

Kidman spoke to her fellow Australians, saying “I think the biggest thing is that no matter where you are in the world, we support each other and we rally.” That’s why we wanted to show our support and we would like to donate on behalf of our family and the families that need it now.”

The families that need it now are amongst the 1,000 people who have lost homes or the loved ones of the 181 people that have died.

While we love adopting Nicole as an American celeb, it’s nice to see her and her family reaching out to her countrymen when they are suffering.
