No jokin' around

Yesterday, Comic Strip Live started a 50-hour stand-up comedy show that, if it lasts, will set the Guinness World Record for the longest stand-up show ever. Late-Net host Ray Ellin goes on stage tomorrow at 6 a.m. "If nobody's there, I still have to do it," he told the post. "The only act I've ever done at 6 a.m. was illegal." We're just hoping Ray's alarm clock goes off.

Judah Friedlander from 30 Rock will cap off the marathon tomorrow at 10 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which provides for members of the armed forces who have died or are severely wounded.

i'm totally in support of fallen heroes--i think soldiers returning get a totally raw deal. have you seen the news stories on how bad the veteran hospitals are? and how many people are coming back with mental issues?

but i hate that intrepid boat parked in new york city. i think war is totally stupid. we should not glorify it. ever.

I hear ya on that one. One of my friends was shot in Iraq and will walk with a cane for the rest of his life because his hip shattered, and another is a medic in the Navy, which means he's constantly under attack. How can people promote something so horrible that hurts so many people?!

FRiedlander is hilarious, its a great cause, SUPPORT THE TROOPS, not the waR!
