Nominee Profile: Ben Stiller
via MTV
Ben Stiller is one sharp comedian combining laughs with charity. Partnered with Save the Children, Stiller has helped out a lot of children this year and made a lot of people laugh, and that's why he's been nominated for Do Something Comedian!
In the last year, Stiller has visited Uganda and Haiti with Save the Children, an organization dedicated to bringing education to remote areas of the world. He has also done a lot of work with Save the Children's Rewrite the Future campaign which supplies school items and uniforms to the most affected and most difficult to reach areas. To help out Rewrite the Future in Haiti, he founded the StillerStrong Foundation (a parody of Lance Armstrong's LiveStrong campaign) and began selling headbands to raise money to build a school, develop a sustainable field, and build a drinking well. In the wake of the earthquake in February, Stiller established the Haitian School Initiative and teamed up with Artists for Peace and Justice to provide support to the schools of Haiti.
Can Ben Stiller get more laughs and more votes than Stephen Colbert, Ellen Degeneres, Kathy Griffin, and Eddie Izzard to become this year's Do Something Comedian? Vote now!
