Nominee Profile: Ryan Sheckler

This Do Something Athlete nominee was doing ollies when he was 4 and skating on his own mini-ramp at the age of 7. Since then, Ryan Sheckler has become a professional skateboarder, TV star, heartthrob hottie AND charity founder.

Ryan founded The Sheckler Foundation, which raises and donates funds for developing communities and athletes with severe injuries and illnesses. The foundation donated $100,000 to Rob Dyrdek’s Foundation to help build the Hollenbeck Skatepark in Los Angeles, California. Also, last month, the skater sponsored the "Skate for a Cause" benefiting the Make-a-Wish Foundation during which many skaters like Greg Lutzka and Rob Dyrdek competed against Ryan for a prize of $10,000.

The 20- year- old has certainly done more than others may do in a lifetime but does he stand a chance against the works of Steve Nash, Hannah Teter, Reggie Bush, and Derek Jeter? You have the power to make that decision.
