Oprah, the woman who loves puppies and already has three, has just added a new member to her furry family. She was devastated when her 13-year old cocker spaniel died but now she’s ready to let a new friend into her life.

And she did not go to pet shop to purchase a puppy mill pup! The PETA award winner responsibly got her puppy from a dog rescue called PAWS in Chicago. She walked out with a new female cocker spaniel puppy.

She was also living up to a promise she made on her show last year to get her next pup from a shelter. She dedicated an episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show to the problems with puppy mills and factory farms. From what she learned, Oprah promised to not buy puppies from stores because of the horrific industries they support.
