After his hot Emmy date with Lauren Conrad, our special correspondent and Do Something Award winner Pat Pedraja went on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson! Check out his exclusive update below! And be sure to watch the clips where Craig tells us how he gets through a bad day (hint: it involves doing something), and who is the most remarkable person he's ever met in L.A.
What we learned Tonight…was about Craig Ferguson
I was totally honored to be on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson last week! I met Craig when we sat next to each other at the Emmy Awards, and I thought he was the coolest, funniest person I had ever met! Craig told me that he wanted me to come on his show with him and I was so happy when his producer called to set it up. You see, I thought Craig was the awesomest (is that a word?) but I was a little scared that he would be like some of the other celebs I’ve met who like you when you are around but then don’t really go out of their way to follow through. But he’s NOT like that, he really IS the Awesomest! We had a great time talking together on the show and I think we are so much alike. Craig is so much more than just an hysterically funny person with such a funny late night show! He is kind, interesting and caring as well. He really cares about the people he meets and is sincere and honest.
During the show, Craig helped me talk about Driving For Donors and encouraged people to join the marrow registry. At the end of the show he also reminded people to join, and said some really nice things about me. But you know what? That’s not all. Craig thanked CBS, David Letterman and World Wide Pants (the production company) for allowing him to have a show that could bring someone like me on just because Craig wanted to. I think it was cool that he thanked them and was grateful to the people he works with, like I am grateful to him! Craig said that he had been in a grumpy mood that day, but by having me on the show and doing something nice for me…he got rid of HIS grumpy mood. So he told everyone that “What he learned on the show tonight” was that by doing something nice for someone else, that YOU could get rid of your grumpy mood too! It’s really true!
Doing something nice for someone else is the easiest way to feel better yourself. Celebrities have the power to make a difference in people's lives and they can do so much more than just a photo-op or an appearance for a charity. By taking an interest, lending a hand, giving someone a little bit of themselves, celebrities can change people’s lives forever. I have to say that Craig changed my life just by my meeting him and his taking an interest in me. I want to grow up to be as cool as Craig and then I will remember how easy it is to make a difference in someone else’s life.
Until next time…

Hi, Pat!
Funny you should say how awesome Craig is (though he is). When I saw your segment, I was thinking how attractive, funny, charming and awesome YOU are, and how you brought out the best in HIM!
Best of luck with your donor drive and thanks for reminding people that thinking of someone else is the best way to feel better about yourself.
I'll be watching for you - got a feeling you'll be a terrific success at acting, flying or any thing you choose to do!
P.S. Ahem, also - You can swab my cheek any time! ;)
Haha Awesome Pat! He's so going to be a star! I wish I could say I knew him when.
