Ever wonder what celebs do in their spare time? If they're Scarlett Johansson, they email back and forth with Senator Obama. Seems to run in the family as the actress' twin brother, Hunter, works for the Obama campaign. Even Scarlett is amazed whenever her "You've got mail" button goes off. She told Politico, "Someone like the senator, who is constantly traveling and constantly 'on,' how can he return these personal emails?" One might say the same thing of Scarlett.
Of Obama, Scarlett said, "One of the driving forces behind the Obama campaign is that all of these young people who never had a reason to vote before finally got the fire under their ass." Well spoken Scarlett.

Awesome to see that Scarlett's so politically active . . . and even more incredible that Barack takes the time to answer personal e-mails. Wonder if he'd write back if it wasn't a movie star?
it's very cool they write each other but come on it's just another celebrity perk. she gets free clothes, free parties, and one-on-one e-mails from the potential next president. I guess having her endorsement will get him a lot of votes though. it's a fair exchange.
Nah, you guys are looking at it the wrong way - basically this just tells me why I gotta run for President. Get nominated, and you're gonna be talking to hot movie stars...I'd write back if she wrote to me, Obama's still a guy
If only he would take the time to respond to all of the emails people send to him. However, you can't blame him, Scarlett's a celebrity and he's still the best candidate.
ps, let's mention the fact that he's getting young people voting! i don' care about which celebs want him(ok ok, maybe i do when it's celebs i'm totally in love with), but seriously, the guy has mobilized young voters like no one else except the kennedys. he really IS gonna change this world.
