On April 18, celebs like Pete Wentz, John Legend, Estelle, Rob Thomas, Angelique Kidjo, and more participated in the Dow Live Earth Run for Water, a 6km long run/walk that took place in over 200 cities around the world. And if you tune in tonight to Bravo at 7pm ET/PT, you can catch the one hour, behind-the-scenes look at the celebs’ collaborative mission to solve the world water crisis!
The Dow Live Earth Run for Water consisted of the physical run/walk, water conservation efforts, team projects for safe water, and a Live Earth petition. A UN statistic reveals that over one billion people don’t have clean drinking water.
Avid Live Earth supporter Pete Wentz told CBS, “Clean water for everyone is a basic human right. Water is a local issue and a global issue. A child dies every 20 seconds from unclean water, and with just 10 dollars, you can have clean water for a year for one child.”
Add your signature to the petition for clean, drinking water around the world, and get up to speed on the little things you can do each day to conserve water. Encourage your friends and family do the same; the more people that align to fight the water crisis, the sooner more of the world will finally have access to clean water!
