Put your hands up for Detroit, 'cause Jack White loves this city!

via white-stripes-lyrics.com Most of us probably hold the negative stereotypes of Detroit as the truth only because we don’t know any better. Well, White Stripes singer-guitarist Jack White is here to set the record straight.
Fed up with frustrations over the misconceptions of his hometown, White wrote a poem about the Motor City and offered it to the Detroit Free Press that published it on July 6.
Entitled "Courageous Dreams Concern", White clears the air on his personal feelings towards Detroit, which he said had been misinterpreted since he moved two years ago to Nashville. "The following poem is the Detroit from my mind. The Detroit that is in my heart. The home that encapsulates and envelops those who are truly blessed with the experience of living within its boundaries," White told the Detroit Press.
