Quote of the day: Cat Deeley
via NY Daily News
As the host of So You Think You Can Dance, Cat Deeley lets the contestants’ performances (and sometimes the judges) do most of the talking. But now she is claiming the spotlight to tell her story. The blonde bombshell dishes on her newest role as a UNICEF Ambassador and the enlightening moment she experienced while in the Philippines- and how it convinced her she just had to do something.
"We were out with these coordinators, who used to be street children themselves, when the storms came in," Deeley told Tonic.com. "It seemed like the heavens had opened. It was this apocalyptic moment, and I looked down and amongst the rubbish was this child, this little 2-year-old, just sitting there… It just blew my mind, that humanity can exist in those kind of conditions, but it does," she says. "What UNICEF proves again and again, is that there is always something we can do about it."
