Quote of the Day: Sheryl Crow

“I don’t need to reiterate the fact that that everyone has a relationship with cancer. Whether it’s an individual-personal relationship — whether it’s with family or friends — we’ve all been touched by cancer.”

Sheryl Crow rocked the 2009 Major League Baseball All-Star Charity Concert this Saturday to benefit a cause close to her heart. The MLB donated $1 million to the organization “Stand Up To Cancer” and Sheryl told the crowd a bit about her own battle with breast cancer. A woman in the US has a 1 in 8 chance of being diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in her life. When diagnosed, a woman has a 1 in 33 chance of dying from breast cancer.
