Radiohead predicts the future

Maybe Radiohead (one of our fave groups of rockers) was on to something in their song, “House of Cards,” (released in 2007)when they sang that “the infrastructure will collapse…” Judging by the the current state of the world's economy, it seems Radiohead had it right.

Their song, Videotape, is now featured in a cool TV advertisement for the prominent English charity, Shelter, which “provides practical help [for people in housing trouble], puts pressure on government [to create policy that supports people in housing trouble], and raises public awareness of the housing crisis.”

“We have always been big supporters of Shelter and believe that now more than ever Shelter urgently needs help and support to keep up its vital work,” the band said in a statement. They believe that ‘Videotape’ is the perfect track to accompany the commercial, and hope to “make a real impact” in raising awareness and funds for the organization.
