Rihanna is helping five-year-old girl Jasmina Anema find a bone marrow donor. This little girl, a self-proclaimed huge Rihanna fan, suffers from a rare type of leukemia and has undergone chemotherapy but still needs a bone marrow transplant.

When Rihanna found out about Jasmina, she got right to work. She founded her own Believe Foundation in 2006 to help terminally ill children all over the world. And this isn't the first time Rihanna has given a helping hand to someone in need of a bone marrow transplant. She worked with DKMS--the biggest bone marrow transplant foundation in the country--to help a mother in need last year. She was able to help Lisa Flynn find a match by putting out a call for donors on people.com.

After her first successful attempt to find a donor, Rihanna is putting the word out again. Rihanna told People that "Leukemia is the most common disease children in the U.S. die of and we need to change that. I urge everyone to sign up as a bone marrow donor with DKMS. If we have more donors, we can save more children like Jasmina."

Leukemia accounts for about one in three cancers in children. But statistics can be overwhelming and by helping one beautiful little girl, Rihanna is bringing this larger than life issue back down to earth. She also wants to recruit more minorities to become donors. African Americans are extremely underrepresented in the pool of donors and Rihanna hopes to change that.

You can even help Rihanna find a donor! It is super easy; Request a donor kit from DKMS; once it arrives, swab the inside of your cheeks and send the kit back. You may be able to help this little girl.
