The superstar has been hard at work campaigning for a cause, and just this week, Rihanna released a new PSA… urging her fans around the globe to join her in the fight against leukemia.
By voting for DKMS to receive the 250K Pepsi Refresh grant to be awarded to one organization at the end of the month, you can help DKMS fight the number one disease causing child deaths in the United States. DKMS is a nonprofit organization that matches leukemia patients with marrow donors.
Rihanna, a longtime supporter of the group, said, “I’ve learned the hard way that anyone can be affected by leukemia. It is a disease that does not discriminate amongst age, race or gender…Sadly only seventeen percent of African Americans in need of a transplant will receive one.”
