via Shore Fire Media

Ever wondered what it would be like to teleport back to the ‘70s? Grammy award winners and Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Carole King and James Taylor are offering the chance— at their special reunion tour! These two icons have just announced their groundbreaking set design, offering the chance to rock and roll while benefiting various charities.

VIP seats will surround the center stage, recreating the intimacy of he duo's legendary 1970's performances at LA’s famous Troubadour Club. The VIP Stage Seat Packages will also include special access to the sound check session, pre-performance private reception, and more… not to mention, giving back to the community! The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and Alliance for the Wild Rockies are just two of over 90 other charity groups that will receive funding from King and Taylor’s tour.

An estimated $1 million is expected to be raised for charity! “We are both as passionate about the importance of giving back as we are about our music. And we're thrilled to have the opportunity to positively impact so many outstanding social and environmental causes with this tour," said King. The VIP packages are available online. Spread the word about celebrating charity efforts through music!

I am attending the Troubador Reunion on May 27 at the Palace of Auburn Hills, MI, and wanted to propose to my girlfriend during the concert - Mary and I are long time fans of JT and Carole King - we met over "Fire and Rain" over 33 years ago at college, and recently re-connected, got involved, and can't wait for this concert!! I can't think of a more romantic setting to propose . . .but The Palace won't let me put it up on the scoreboard like I had hoped. Any chance JT or Carole could give me a hand??? I wanted to get 2 ticketsforcharity, but in this economy, couldn't swing the price. Thanks for getting back together for this concert, and any help you can provide on my romantic proposal idea . . .Dave Steele
