Declare Yourself got a hot makeover at their Sunday Inaugural ball here in Washington. Jessica Alba (who you probably remember from those scandalous bondage ads) hosted the evening, which featured rockin’ performances by Maroon 5 and John Legend. Jamie Foxx energized the crowd with a nonstop beatbox. After the incredible lineup Samantha Ronson took to the DJ booth, while girlfriend Lindsay Lohan chilled nearby, sipping a Red Bull.

The organization started as a road trip in 2004 to encourage young voters to make their voices heard across the nation. Now, after young voters were a crucial part of the election of President Barack Obama, Declare Yourself founder Norman Lear premiered a new song, “I'm a Born Again America.”

The crowd was full of celebs ready to party, like Usher, Maria Shriver, Ben Affleck, Hayden Panettiere, and new Senator Al Franken. We chatted up Sarah Silverman back stage, and asked her what she thought was the number-one issue our new President should tackle.

“There are so many important things,” she told CGG. “But the second he can, he should make gay marriage legal. This is embarrassing, any way you slice it, no matter who you are. And he knows it’s ridiculous. He knows it is. He should just say, If you have a problem with this, you are ridiculous.”
