Looks like Elizabeth Berkley has come a long way since her days on "Saved By the Bell."
The host of Bravo's hit show "Step It Up and Dance," is in the process of developing a new show with MTV to focus on self-esteem and body issues for girls.
While the project is still in its early stages, a pilot episode is in the works to be shot this September. According to MTV's vice-president Amy Bailey of MTV's "News & Docs Division", Berkley approached MTV on her own about her idea of the show.
Berkley, along with her husband Greg Lauren, have decided to base their ideas for the upcoming show on their self-esteem workshops called "Ask-Elizabeth."
Berkley's "Ask Elizabeth" workshops and website have been promoted and supported by schools around the U.S. for the past 2 ½ years. Berkley hopes that the ideas from her workshops will carry over to her show.
"It'll be more than just films of her workshops. It'll probably be more verite, where we'll film with Elizabeth and girls around the country in their own hometowns and watch as the events unfold," Bailey said about Berkley's ideas for the new show, according to the Huffington Post.
CGG is thrilled to announce that Elizabeth will be at the Do Something Teen Choice Awards this Saturday! Stay tuned for more coverage.
