CGG recently clued you in to Selena Gomez's latest launch of her personally designed t-shirt being sold to raise money for Latinos with college-plans on their minds. Well, we got a chance to catch up with Selena about her fabulous clothing-for-a-cause efforts ; and asked her a couple questions about her experience designing for Palomita Clothing, and her stance on education!

CGG: Why is it important to raise awareness for education in the Latino community?

Selena Gomez: Education is important, period. And for the Latino community, sometimes we get looked down on, when some of the smartest people are Latino... so I think we should just show everyone just how smart we are.

CGG: What was your experience like designing the shirt? Where did your inspiration come from?

SG: I had a lot of fun. I was so excited to get the chance to do it; and I love painting and art so being able to have fun and be myself with it was wonderful. And knowing that it was going to a good place was even better!

CGG: What advice do you have for people who struggle in the education system?

SG: School is never really easy. In fact, I have trouble in it a lot. But just remember that one day you will have to use everything you are learning, and we’ll be on our own without teachers or parents; so learn everything you can now. I know it’s hard, but it will be worth it.
