It was the "Oof!" hear 'round the world last week when Sharon Stone suggested that the recent deadly earthquake in China might have been a result of bad karma incurred by the Chinese government due to their repressive treatment of the Tibetan people. Today, she issued an apology via the AFP:
"My erroneous words and deeds angered and saddened the Chinese people, and I sincerely apologise for this."
She has also offered to participate in earthquake relief activity to help smooth over relations in the country.
For many, however, the apology comes much too late, including fashion house Dior, which has quickly dropped the actress from its campaigns across China.
