Superstar action heroes Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig have taken their do-gooding to a record breaking level – raising a whopping $1.5 million for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This annual competition (21 years and counting!) pits Broadway, Off-Broadway, and touring theater companies against one another for a month and a half to see who can raise the most money for AIDS relief. Hugh and Daniel are currently co-starring in the Broadway drama A Steady Rain, and they used each performance as a chance to raise some cash, taking backstage photos with any audience member willing to make a $2,000 donation. Talk about friendly competition – the total amount raised was a record $4,630,695.
