Celebrities showed up en masse this past Saturday for the 30th Anniversary of the Carousel of Hope Ball, which benefits the Barbara Davis Center for childhood diabetes.
Denzel Washington, Nicole Richie, Suzanne Somers, Teri Seymour, Lara Flynn Boyle, and Daisy Fuentes all walked the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to support the charity. Once inside, guests were treated to a special performance by the Jonas Brothers, with Nick Jonas singing "A Little Bit Longer."
Nick wrote the song about his personal experiences since being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes three years ago.
"On the day that I got diagnosed, I heard about this event," said Nick who mentioned fighting back tears as he performed the song on piano. "And I knew it was something that I wanted to be a part of. To be here tonight to perform is a dream come true for us and for me, it's truly an honor."
Be sure to also brush up on some background info on diabetes as well.

i love nick jonas thats amazing that he turns something negative into a way to do good for himself and other people
Nick Jonas has Type 1 diabetes, and I never really knew what that meant exactly. But I clicked on the background and it went to Do Something information on it -- totally handy info. And Nick's my favorite -- he's definitely the most talented.
Ok. So CLEARLY I prefer me some JOE Jonas, but you gotta love that little brother (and I don't mean Frankie).
Juve-y diabetes sucks. I know kids who have it and they get shots all the time. Yikes! I hope they find a cure soon.
I know this kid in New Jersey who has a little brother with it. He created a fundraiser each Summer to raise money for JDRF and I think they made like 200 grand this past Summer.
reading this sends chills up my spine because my brother was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes 7 years ago, so it's super personal to me. my grandmother also had type 1 diabetes. i love this so much!
