Steve Nash battle of Chinatown

Thierry Henry charity soccer match Steve Nash  Thierry Henry scores a penalty kick -CGG

For all of you who were unable to make it to Steve Nash’s charity soccer match yesterday, let us tell you- you missed out!  It was ca-raaazy!!

First of all, by the time we got there (right on schedule at 5:30pm) it was absolutely packed.  You couldn’t see anything, unless you were 6’7”!  Everyone was crowded around the soccer field, climbing up fences, and hanging in trees just to get a peek of the game. We spotted an in by slithering underneath a 1ft.x1ft. hole in the fence (It certainly wasn’t easy to do that in a summer dress!) That’s right, CGG braved the men in blue to get the best pics for you.

And once inside, it was certainly well worth it.  Fans were rewarded with face-to-face encounters and autographs by the sports stars. Jason Kidd was especially friendly.

And then the game began, and we must say we were extremely impressed with how well Nash played.  Looks like pro-soccer could certainly be in his future whenever he decides to retire from basketball.  Baron Davis on the other hand- erm, probably should just stick with hoops; but he was definitely the most fun to watch with his streetwear chic and devil-may-care attitude. The badboy even scored a goal by being in the right place at the right time. But what really made the day was watching star European player Thierry Henry and well, we have yet to see another pair of such gorgeous and firm legs- phew!!

And the winning team? Captain Steve Nash of course!
