Sunday story hour with Jennifer Garner

Forget lazy Sundays. Jennifer Garner spent yesterday indulging in some Milk + Bookies! At yesterday’s First Annual Story Time Celebration, the actress volunteered her time to read to a group of children during an event filled with music, milk, and of course, cookies! She was joined by Twilight actor Peter Facinelli, who brought his whole family to join in on the fun.

Milk + Bookies is a non-profit organization that empowers teen and college students around the country to share their voices and earn community service hours, while teaching young children the importance of giving back to the community. Sponsors of Milk + Bookies include Jason Biggs and Jimmy Kimmel, with Will Ferrell and Glee’s Jayma Mays scheduled to participate in an upcoming story time reading.

It’s easy to share the love of a good book and raise awareness about the importance of literacy! You can get involved by hosting a “M+B Class Project” – organizing a local event in your school or bookstore, or pledging a donation to help get books into the hands of children eager to learn.
