First Bruce Springsteen, now The DEAD!
The latest band to perform in support of Barack Obama is the legendary band formerly known as the Grateful Dead. The Dead will string out some massive guitar jams for the first time in four years at an Obama event this Monday. This “Change Rocks” concert will be held at Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center, and will include The Dead calling on all Americans to make sure to register to vote.
“We’re honored to be a part of the ‘Change Rocks’ concert for Senator Barack Obama,” The Dead said, “and we hope everyone who is eligible to vote does so on Nov. 4.”

I've said it before and I'll stay it again. I think it's amazing when musician's use their public voice to speak out for a cause they care about. They've got the mic, and they know how to use it.

Wooh! I love the Dead!!! And, yes, they are actually a popular hippie band. Is there a problem with that. That picture might have even been the sixties! They've been around since then. And, cinderella14, I agree!!!!
