Before heading off to the Oscars, 12 lovely actresses including Lucy Liu, Eva Longoria, Sienna Miller, Reese Witherspoon and Emily Blunt all attended the 'Montblanc Signature for Good' charity event. The event was Friday night at Hollywood’s Paramount Studios in LA. The international charity gala benefited UNICEF education and literacy programs.
Montblanc and Signature International have joined forces for ‘The Montblanc Signature for Good’ initiative which will auction off photographs by the American photographer Roger Moenks. The theme of literacy extended to the artwork where the actresses pose as famous literary heroines. Eva Longoria posed as Scarlett, from Margaret Mitchell’s epic Gone with the Wind.
The event honored the 12 actresses who are featured in the portraits. Each actress attended the event where they were reunited with their portraits and signed them. Reese Witherspoon also presented UNICEF with a check to help them in their efforts.
The event kicked off the international tour of the photos which will end with an auction at Sotheby’s to support UNICEF’s education programs worldwide.
UNICEF’s education and literacy goals include literacy development and teacher training in countries around the world. One program works to provide classes for children in emergencies in Sudan, Iran, and Afghanistan.
